Apple's founder Steve Jobs (1955-2011) has died at the age of 56 after a lengthy fight with cancer. He leaves a wife and four kids.

Jobs was the force behind the many ubiquitous Apple products like the iPhone, iPad, iPod, and iTunes. And, the MacBook Air Bostonist uses every day. Just yesterday, Apple unveiled a newer version of the iPhone, the first product rolled after Jobs stepped down from his job at the helm of Apple.

Apple's website is dedicated to Jobs.
