The Boston Herald reports the New England Patriots are close to signing Tom Brady to an extension. The paper says it's a three-year extension worth $58 million, or $19.3 million per season, that could be done in 24 hours.

A family is suing the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority after being treated badly by Jets fans at a 2009 game between the Jets and the Patriots in New Jersey. Jets fans allegedly threw beers at a 14-year old girl and hit her mother for wearing a Pats jersey and holding a sign that read "I love Tom Brady."
